Yesterday marked six months since I married the love of my life. We also got our wedding pictures back about a week ago. What better time to take you on a ride through our day and the happiest I have been in a very long time? I hope you enjoy this sneak peek into our day!
This was when I was originally getting ready for our day. I was so nervous this entire time, but our photographer, Captured Moments by Jennifer, did such an incredible job making sure I still looked put together!
Obviously, this is the exact moment that we became husband and wife. This picture means so much to me because it was the end of months of stress and doubt. Up until two days before our wedding, I was not sure if my anxiety was going to stop me from being able to go and get legally married, so this moment was sweet.
Here we are entering the reception. This is one of my favorite pictures because it accurately captures my excitement and joy at not only seeing our gorgeous indoor/outdoor reception tent for the first time, but also all of the people who came to support us on our big day.
While Spencer and I chose to do our official first dance privately, guests still got to enjoy many moments of our personalities. My brother also stole the show and danced through most of the night. We have almost as many pictures of him as we do of us!
Cutting the cake was such a fun part of the evening. One of Spencer and I’s best friends who we have known since we started dating made our wedding cake for us as a gift. It was pink champagne with matching flowers to my bouquet.
A professional look at our gorgeous cake!
Speaking of gifts from friends, one of our greatest gifts was from a dear friend of ours who we have known since middle school. She graciously offered her time and talent to do all of our flower arrangements. These gorgeous table displays, my bouquet, and all other greenery and flower accents were completed by her alone.
Our wedding also would not have been complete without our gorgeous venue. We got married at Moonstone Manor, which is located in Lancaster County, PA. All of the staff were wonderful, and our guests got to tour the inside of the historic mansion while we took pictures.
Now for the formal pictures! I could not help but share this picture because I could not believe how grown up my own brothers look, and how handsome all my brothers are! My youngest brother is on the far left, he is 13, and my other younger brother is the far right, he is 16. Spencer’s brother is to his immediate right, and his best friend (immediate left), who he has known since he was 5 and I have known since we were 10, is also a brother in our eyes!
Sorry, I had to be a little bit vain. I absolutely loved this bridal. I was really worried about not liking the way that I looked on our wedding day, but overall, I was pleasantly surprised!
This is one of the most natural pictures that we have on our wedding day, and I love the simplicity of how happy we were.
Normally, I hate black and white pictures. I specifically asked to not have too many of them in our final count. However, I am so glad that Jennifer decided to take this shot in black and white.
MY FAVORITE PICTURE FROM OUR WEDDING. Seriously I hope my wedding photographer gets all the glory for this picture. We had in our heads that we wanted to take nighttime pictures at this rose arch, but I would have never imagined in a million years them looking like this. Also, even though the rain was sort of a bummer at the time, it looks so cool in this picture!
For our exit we did a glowstick sendoff. Glowsticks were one of the seemingly insignificant things that brought Spencer and I together six years ago when we were 15, so we found it only appropriate to incorporate them into our wedding.
Thanks for being a part of our special day!
